Privacy Policy for Tiny Habit
Last updated: 2026-10-05
Overview
Tiny Habit ("the App", package com.myhome.tinyhabit) helps you track small habits, streaks, cues, rewards, and reminders.
This policy explains what data is processed and how.
Local Storage
The App stores the data you enter locally on your device, including:
- habit names, categories, statuses, dates, notes, and favorites;
- streak days, weekly targets, cues, reward notes, and completion history;
- reminder settings, language settings, and export preferences.
We do not operate a server for this App and do not receive these local records.
Export
The App may let you export a text copy of your records using Android sharing tools. You choose where that exported data is sent or saved.
Advertising (AdMob)
Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may process device and usage data under Google's privacy terms. Where required, the App may show consent flows (for example Google User Messaging Platform) for ads.
Optional Usage Analytics (Firebase)
Usage analytics is off by default and starts only if you opt in. You can turn it off at any time in Settings. When enabled, the App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app lifecycle and purchase events plus product-health actions: starting record creation, successfully saving a new record, creating a first useful record, scheduling a first reminder, posting or opening a local notification, blocked or failed notification attempts, and creating a first template where templates are supported. A posted notification means Android accepted the request, not that you saw or read it. These product-health events contain no record content or event parameters.
The App never adds your entered names, notes, dates, photos, categories, locations, health information, or other record contents to analytics events. Firebase may process an app-instance identifier, basic app and device metadata, purchase product metadata, and coarse location derived from a masked IP address. Analytics Advertising ID collection and ad-personalization signals are disabled by the App. Analytics data is encrypted in transit.
Turning analytics off stops future analytics collection from the App. Previously collected data is handled under Google Analytics retention and deletion controls. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google Privacy Policy.
In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)
The App may offer in-app purchases through Google Play Billing, for example to remove ads. Purchase state is checked with Google Play to determine active entitlements.
Notifications
If enabled by you, the App uses local notifications and alarms for habit reminders. On Android 13+, notification permission is requested by the system.
Backup
Depending on Android system settings, app data may be included in Android backup or device transfer. Billing entitlement cache is treated separately and is not used as a trusted backup source of truth.
Third-Party Services
- Google Play Billing (payments)
- Google AdMob (ads)
- Google Analytics for Firebase (optional usage analytics)
- Google User Messaging Platform (consent for ads, where applicable)
Data Deletion
You can remove your data by:
- deleting records inside the App;
- clearing app data in Android settings;
- uninstalling the App.
